An Iconic Landmark in the Capital
Hala Koszyki, built at the beginning of the 20th century on Koszykowa Street in Warsaw, is an absolutely unique social and culinary hub on the map of Poland. Originally designed in the Art Nouveau style as a market hall, it returned years later as a metropolitan culinary melting pot. It is a place where historical, post-industrial architecture seamlessly intertwines with the modern, vibrant character of the City Center. Commissioned by Globalworth, we took on the task of redefining the mezzanine space within the building. Our goal was to transform this area into a vibrant, cozy, and flexible meeting point that naturally attracts guests and business partners alike.
The Comfort of Meetings in a Soft Version
The key to the mezzanine's metamorphosis was the introduction of soft seating and functional mobile solutions, which were previously absent from this space. The area was divided into a chillout zone and a comfortable dining and meeting space. It features low and high tables from the Minimus, Fiori, and H2 collections, paired with ergonomic Pinot and Huga chairs. The arrangement is complemented by carefully selected armchairs from the Litt collection, ensuring ultimate comfort and a touch of home-like warmth in a public space.
The Challenge of Strict Standards
Executing a project in such a popular, open public facility involved strict technical restrictions and an exceptionally tight deadline. All delivered furniture had to be manufactured using flame-retardant certified materials. The upholstery used (including the premium Spradling Valencia) features enhanced abrasion resistance and is exceptionally easy to clean. Thanks to meticulous logistical planning, the efficient installation of the entire setup took just one day.
New Energy for Urban Relations
The final result is a unique space that harmonizes perfectly with the post-industrial atmosphere of Hala Koszyki. The new layout has successfully revitalized the mezzanine, adding distinctive branding and functional value to the property. It serves as a perfect example of the "design for business" approach — redefining the visitor experience and creating the perfect backdrop for fostering urban and business relationships.
