We spent two intensive days in Białystok at East Design Days “Tradition?!”, held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture at Bialystok University of Technology. It was a period full of discussions about design and the role of responsible practices in shaping contemporary spaces.
The event programme included presentations, workshops, and meetings that created opportunities to engage with designers, students, and industry professionals. One of the highlights was Maja Ganszyniec’s presentation, “The Art of Contemporary Design”, which addressed current design challenges and the importance of responsible approaches.
Participating in East Design Days gave us the chance to share our experiences and demonstrate how we approach design — as a combination of functionality, context, and conscious choices. We leave with the feeling that dialogue between education, practice, and the market genuinely shapes the future of contemporary spaces.
