The German Design Award – the most valuable distinction awarded on behalf of the German Design Council, a foundation founded in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag.
The main objectives of the Council include promoting awareness of increasing brand value through the strategic use of design and discovering, presenting and honoring unique trends in design.
Since 2012, the German Design Council has been awarding the most valuable projects in various categories, and each awarded project breaks new ground in international design.
The GDA award is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world. The award-winning products feature pioneering, innovative design that contributes to the international and German design world.
