Orgatec fair in Cologne is one of the key events in the office furniture industry, attracting experts and enthusiasts from around the world every year. It provides a unique opportunity to exchange visions and innovations in modern office spaces, which have undergone a huge transformation. Today, the office is more than just a workplace—it's a space for meetings, collaboration, and building relationships.
Contemporary offices should foster the exchange of ideas, user comfort, and overall well-being. The new products we presented at Orgatec are our response to the dynamic needs of modern workplaces. Balma's designs combine functionality with aesthetics, offering flexible solutions that support different working styles and make space organization easier. As a result, our furniture promotes both focused individual work and collaboration, creating an inspiring work environment.
The stand, designed by Piotr Kuchciński, was divided into zones reflecting various office functions. Each zone featured a thoughtful selection of colors that highlighted the character of the space, with soft curtains adding warmth and elegance.
In the welcoming zone, we showcased the light, upholstered benches Hej, designed by Maja Ganszyniec Studio. The modularity of this collection makes it perfect for lobbies, meeting, and relaxation zones. We complemented the benches with Carde coffee tables, Anker side tables, and Litt armchairs, creating an inviting atmosphere for conversations. Additionally, we introduced the new two-person acoustic booth Bbox, providing a peaceful spot for talks while ensuring comfortable isolation from the surroundings.
The formal meeting zone featured a conference room with the robust Gravos table and Ram chairs designed by Piotr Kuchciński, becoming a place for inspiring discussions. This space also showcased the award-winning Stepps shelving unit, which subtly emphasized the elegance and functionality of the design.
At the heart of the stand was the work zone, designed with various working styles in mind. We combined individual and team workspaces, including the Sit&Stand Plus and S4 desks with height adjustment, available in unique sand and ochre colors. The Minimus table on wooden legs and high Hej benches encouraged informal meetings and team integration. The walls were adorned with Crox shelves in intriguing forms, while the hanging Tivi TV cabinet combined functionality with minimalism.
In the mobile work zone, we presented the new version of the Plus sofa and armchairs, which have become even more comfortable for the 10th anniversary of the collection. Thanks to wheels, they provide full mobility, and the high sofas serve as soundproofing, creating comfortable spots for conversations. The addition of Lumo side tables provided both a practical and decorative touch.
The bar area, distinguished by a vibrant sienna color, attracted the attention of visitors. Fiori tables in various shapes and Pinot chairs with armrest options or soft upholstery offered comfortable places for coffee breaks. We also showcased two collections of stools—functional Pinot stools and intriguing Huga stools with a unique design.
Our presence at Orgatec 2024 was a unique opportunity to demonstrate how Balma furniture actively responds to the needs of modern offices, blending functionality with aesthetics. We were thrilled by the interest in our stand, which encouraged conversations, idea exchanges, and reflections on the future of workspaces.
